- Can you describe a typical day at Traydstream? What tasks do you handle regularly?
A typical day in Traydstream always starts with a definite excitement given the pathbreaking nature of our business. I get up constantly getting up looking forward to it, with an opportunity to learn. Since I cater to the APAC hours, it is an early start at 6:00 am – with a peep into the Mailbox – the transactions trickling down in the queue, monitoring volumes, issues if any, etc. We operate in a decentralized manner, with owner operators like me able to make quick decisions and lead brainstorming on the operating floor.. In addition, training activities keep me engaged and informed throughout the day.
- How does your role contribute to Traydstream’s goal of simplifying trade finance through innovation? Any specific challenges or opportunities do you often encounter?
Being a CDCS and a Trade Finance Banker for 16+ years before joining Traydstream has definitely made my journey to simplify trade document checking impactful. Being one of the first employees, I have experienced all levels of Traydstream from Clause and Rule Mapping to catering to the first UI look to assisting in partnerships with our Compliance Partners, QA, Client Success, and even Marketing. We live and breathe trade and technology across the company. Therefore the level of discussions and daily activities at Traydstream are super evolved, granular and cutting edge within these realms.
My primary goal has always been to deliver excellence and ensure clientdelight by ever streamlining the document checking process. Having encountered numerous challenges as a manual Document Checker myself, I am amazed at how the Traydstream platform mitigates therisks I had faced. Ultimately, what really gives me immense satisfaction each day is in giving our clients value added service and making their lives easier.
- Traydstream uses AI to automate trade processes. How do you ensure quality and accuracy in these processes, and what’s your role in maintaining and improving them?
Our primary goal is to ensure that all processes are in line with our defined objectives. As ex bankers we have been trained for years in environments where there is zero tolerance for risk and compliance errors. We embody that culture every day at work. We strive to achieve this by ensuring that every single document uploaded to the platform is scrupulously checked seamlessly within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Turnaround Time (TAT). In addition, our technology is designed to simplify trade finance processing by decoding the Trade Finance jargon, saving valuable time and cost thereby increasing the overall process efficiency.
- In a tech-focused company like Traydstream, how do you stay updated on the latest trends in trade finance and AI? Any go-to resources or industry developments you follow?
There is a deep technology focus at Traydstream where we are all expected to be Tech aware. For me personally, regularly checking the ICC modules is essential to remain current with the latest advancements in Trade Finance and how Traydstream can emerge as a leader in catering to newer objectives. It’s great to see that automation is now an accepted norm across industries, opening new opportunities to explore and refine our processes to stay ahead of the competition. Attending webinars focused on Trade Finance modules and how automation is transforming the industry is an excellent way to learn from other industry leaders and bring this knowledge back to Traydstream for growth and development.
- What aspects of your role do you find most fulfilling or exciting, particularly in contributing to the innovative journey of Traydstream in trade finance?
In all my roles, throughout my career at Traydstream, I’ve been inspired to develop my skills and grow my skill base.. I was instrumental in assisting the platform to understand Trade Finance, but I’ve learned much more since then. The team at Traydstream has given me back more than I could have ever imagined. From showcasing our platform – built by skilled, dedicated developers, engineers, and capable Trade experts – to speaking with clients, every day is a new adventure. Seeing thousands of Live Documents pass seamlessly through our platform is immensely satisfying, and hearing clients say that they no longer receive refusals is a true sense of pride and accomplishment.
